What Is Josh's ESL? And Who Is This Josh Guy Anyway?Hi, I'm Josh. Thanks for checking out the site. In the pages that follow you are going to find a host of lectures and articles aimed at helping you learn more about second language acquisition.
However, before progressing to the lectures please take the time to read a little more about me (I'm really rather cool - really). This will help you get a better understanding of who I am and why I decided to build this site. |
Who Am I?
Such a deep question, but I will do my best to answer it. Well, before becoming a teacher I worked in both the health & fitness industry and the hospitality industry. I also did stand-up comedy (in London), have a double master's degree (MA Applied Linguistics & TESOL) and 8 years EFL/ESL teaching experience (mainly with Korean and Japanese students).
Why I Made This Site!
As previously stated (on the home page), I made this site to help teachers learn a little bit more about EFL/ESL education and teaching. I did this because all too often EFL/ESL teachers are employed by schools/institutions who offer very limited training to their teachers and then expect them do do a great job.
In order to rectify this problem I decided to build a one-stop shop for teachers interested in learning more about second language acquisition in the hopes that they can help their students more effectively.
Who Else Is Involved?
As you progress through the lectures you will notice I interview a range of highly qualified teachers and students in my quest to bring you the most relevant information available. All of the people I interview have been chosen based on their knowledge and experience in the world of SLA or EFL/ESL.
Can I Get Involved?
Of course you can. If you have an idea, feedback, or just want to say 'Hi' - then all you need to do is contact me here.
