About Me
My journey as a Learning Specialist commenced with a decade of involvement in the health and fitness sector, where I had the privilege of working with both amateur and professional athletes. During this time, I participated in a study aimed at developing a pacing strategy for the Australian Olympic cycling team, sparking my initial interest in optimal performance. To further explore this fascination, I dedicated six months to voluntary work at the Victorian Institute of Sport in Australia, delving into the intricacies of how world-class athletes approach learning and performance.
Subsequently, I transitioned into the realm of language education, holding a dual Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics & TESOL, alongside a Master's Degree in Research. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD. My extensive experience in EFL/ESL teaching, primarily with Korean and Japanese students, and as an educational consultant teaching effective learning strategies, has allowed me to support the learning journeys of hundreds of students. I am also a published researcher in the fields of language education and accelerated learning. Additionally, I facilitate an accredited course titled "Exercise and The Brain," catering to health and fitness professionals in Australia and beyond.
